Panel Speaker at the International Conference Re-Evaluation in Feminism and Contemporary Art

September 13, 2024

Middlesex University hall

I was delighted to be one of the panel speakers at the international conference Re-Evaluation in Feminism and Contemporary Art, hosted by Middlesex University, London, on Friday, 13 September 2024.

On this occasion, I presented my research project On Speaking Terms with Feminist Art Curating through a Global Perspective focuses on feminist art curating in the 21st century, while critically examining global exhibitions dedicated to women artists and inclusive collection displays. My work builds on feminist theoretical frameworks to foster diverse, decentered approaches to curating that move beyond tokenism and Western-centric “catch-up” dynamics.

It was a true joy to share this work and engage in dialogue with such a vibrant community of scholars, curators, artists, and practitioners. These stimulating exchanges are what make the hard work so worthwhile.

I look forward to continuing the conversation with you!
