I am thrilled to share that one of my research’s case studies has helped bridge a crucial gap in the Netherlands’ libraries! The exhibition catalogue Another Energy: Power to Continue Challenging – 16 Women Artists from around the World is now available at Utrecht University’s library.
The exhibition, curated by Martin Germann and Mami Kataoka in Tokyo, ran from April 22, 2021, to January 16, 2022. It featured the powerful contributions of 16 women artists from 14 different countries, each with over fifty years of career, and aimed to spotlight their resilience and ongoing creative contributions despite their systemic underrepresentation.
This catalogue is a treasure for scholars eager to dive into international women group exhibitions and broaden their perspectives. It has been an inspiring source for my critical thinking, and I can not wait to see how it inspires others!
